Samoa

Jacob Roggeveen, a Dutchman, was the first known European to find Samoa in 1722.

Samoa has many different types of clothing.some expensive some cheap but all useful. Fashion is different in Samoa than it is in different countries. The traditional pieces of clothing are a puletasi and a lava-lava.the cost is also different . some pieces of Samoan clothing can cost from $1nzd up to $5000nzd.

Music is also different. Some genres used in samoa are reggae,jazz and even techno. Some of the instruments used are the fala,idiophone and the nose blown flute.

Some traditional Samoan foods are palusami-coconut milk baked in taro leaves,faiai eleni-fish in coconut and fa’apapa-sweet coconut bread.

The national animal of Samoa  s called Rose Atoll.It is located in Manu’a Islands and is on the edge of extinction like the kiwi.People are worried about this animal because birds of prey have been hunting these small animals.

I hope you have learnt something new about Samoa. And remember to always be grateful of what you have.

I found it challenging to trace the images.

I enjoyed the whole thing.

My matariki animation.

Today I was learning to use brush ninja to make an animation to put on our blogs.

I enjoyed creating the animation because it was fun to use all the different tools within the app.

I found it hard to create a quality animation in the time provided.

My animation shows the story of matariki.

Next time I would change the placement of the stars.

I enjoyed creating the map because i got to find multiple images.

I found it hard to. I didn't really find anything hard and I did it with ease.

My name is JD. Last year I was at Te Hapara.

My goal is to make it into the basketball team.
